I'm doing a school assignment about Nicholas Sparks and I'd love some help from you!

If you could just take some time to answer these questions you'd be a GREAT help to me and [info]lemonysmack

1. Which of the following is your favorite book/movie?
- Nights in Rodanthe
- The Notebook
- A walk to remember
- Dear John
- The Last Song

2. What is the most memorable event in the book/movie according to you (and why)?

3. Why did you choose to read or watch any of the books/movies?

4. What is your favorite aspect in Nicholas Sparks' writing?

5. (Answer this question only if you have read and watched) Do you prefer reading his books or watching his films?

Thanks in advance.

The Last Song

I rented this movie tonight. I was really looking forward to it, as I quite enjoyed the book. For all the bad publicity it got, I didn't think it was that poorly done. There were things that were changed but the general story was there. Had I not read the book I probably would have enjoyed it more, but that's probably true with just about any movie based on a book. It wasn't like "A Walk To Remember" where the title didn't even make sense in the movie since they never even mentioned it.

Has anyone else watched it yet or read the book?

I picked this book up earlier in the week and finished it this morning around 2 AM. As per usual with his books, I wasn't disappointed. While I knew what was gonna happen, it was still very interesting seeing how the events unfolded. And again, as per usual, I found myself in tears at the end of the book.

Anyone else read this book yet and have any thoughts or comments on it?

WARNING!!! There may be spoilers in the comments.

i just joined so i figured id introduce myself. the name is jessica, and ive been a fan of nicholas sparks since the notebook. but it wasnt because of the movie, it was because a girl i worked with at the time told me how excited she was that her favorite book was becoming a movie. after hearing the basis of the notebook and finding out he also wrote a walk to remember,i decided to get a book and read. and since then i have read over half his books.
ive read (in order i read them):
"a bend in the road",..."the guardian"....."at first sight"....."dear john"....."the lucky one"...."the choice"...and i am reading "the rescue" right now....
i also have tried reading "true believer", but was disappointed when i realized it was the beginning to "at first sight", and because i already knew the charectors (whos good, whos bad, and whats going to happen at the end), i couldnt get into it without getting frustrated. and i bought the book for "nights in rodanthe" to read after the rescue.

and i am SUPER excited for the movie of dear john to come out next year, with channing tatum, yay!

Hi, I'm new to this community and figured I would say hi and introduce myself. I've been a Nicholas Sparks fan since I went to see A Walk To Remember in the theater. I really liked it (yes, I'm a guy and I love chick flicks) and discovered shortly after seeing it that it was based on a book. I went out and bought the book and absolutely loved it. I still think it's stupid that the movie kept the title of the book but never made any reference as to why it was called that.

Anyway, I've read a bunch of his books and can only think of a few that I have yet to read. Message in a Bottle, The Wedding, At First Sight, and that might actually be it. I have also not read Three Weeks With My Brother but it's different than his other books.

Anyway, I'm always up for a discussion about any of his books that I've read, or suggestions about the ones that I haven't read. I'm also just returning to LiveJournal after taking about a 3 year hiatus, so feel free to check out my journal and friend me if you like. =)
